Two award-winning singer-songwriters on tour from Colorado bring their acoustic guitars and charisma to Bellingham.

Audiences will burst their corsets and ascots with laughter this spring as Late Night at Taproot brings Taproot Improv Comedy back to the Mainstage. Building on the hilarity of the Victorian farce Charley’s Aunt running May 12 through June 12, Taproot’s rollicking, uproarious improv team hits the stage every Friday night with their best material. Of course, it’s not written yet, because the audience supplies the ideas! With split-second timing and talent galore, audiences are bound to have a good time.

Taproot Comedy Improv hits the stage July 16, 23 and 30 and August 6, at approximately 10:30 p.m., or shortly after the performance of “Man of La Mancha” ends.

Tickets are just $10, or $8 with a ticket to “Man of La Mancha.” Group pricing is available for parties of 8 or more. Tickets are available at the door only, no advance sales.

This is an on-going class. Beginners are welcome. We are learning to develop an "educated pendulum", focusing on using the pendulums for healing, but also discussing diagnostics, life studies, finding objects, dowsing, etc.

This is a great opportunity to develop your divination skills with whatever tools you find most useful, Karyl has worked with many teachers, and has provided us with very useful feedback on the techniques and systems we have been using. Karyl is a Master Teacher, very modest, very knowledgeable, with a high degree of sensitivity that has been tuned by decades of devoted practice.

Forest Service interpretive walks teach about old growth forests and mountain ecosystems starting June 19 through Labor Day. Three programs take participants on short hikes in the Snoqualmie Pass area off of Interstate 90. Call 425-434-6111 to make a reservation. Special walks available by request. The Snoqualmie Pass Visitor Information Center hosts the program and is open Thu-Sun, 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. A $10 per person donation is requested.

Common in Chinese painting, poetry & literature, the Guqin is an integral part of Chinese culture & is one of the most refined of the arts of the Chinese scholar. Known as the ‘instrument of sages’, from ancient times the Qin has been used as a medium of cultivation & nourishing life.
